Cycling can be a great commute option.
There are lots of good reasons to give it a try.
You can save thousands per year in commute costs by using “pedal power” instead of gasoline for your car. With today's fuel cost, each mile can add up!
Whether you are an avid cyclist or casual weekend rider, combining your workout with your commute ensures that you fit exercise into your schedule.
When you choose to cycle instead of taking your car, you reduce traffic congestion and the amount of harmful emissions released into the atmosphere.
Commuters who bicycle to a Hunterdon County worksite or public transit station at least two days per week, even seasonally, and register with HART, are eligible for two free programs.
Cycling commuters never have to worry about getting home in the event of inclement weather or a mechanical problem. HART's Emergency Ride Home Program will pay the cost to get you home.
